My name is David Kwasi Ofori Antwi and I was born in the quaint town of Mpraeso nestled in the beautiful Eastern Region of Ghana. My journey in education began at the esteemed Kwahu Mpraeso Methodist Primary School where I laid the foundation for my academic pursuits. However fate had a different plan and I completed my schooling at the reputable Accra New Town 1 Middle School (ANT1).
While education played a significant role in shaping my character my true passion lay elsewhere - in the realm of music. In the nineties I embarked on a musical journey that would redefine my life. With utmost dedication I started writing soulful melodies pouring my emotions and experiences into every lyric. It was during this time that I joined forces with my talented younger brother Micheal Kofi Antwi forming a formidable duo known as Antwi ne Antwi.
In the year 2001 we released our debut album which immediately captivated audiences with the sensational hit track "Sekina." Its irresistible beats and captivating melody took the airwaves by storm setting the stage for our journey towards musical greatness. Building upon our initial success we dropped another album in 2003 featuring electrifying tracks like "Uncle "Few Mano "Odo Nkomo "African Girls "Maaso Meshebi and many more.
As our music resonated with fans far and wide we were blessed with the opportunity to perform not only within the borders of Ghana but also on international stages. Our enthralling performances reverberated through venues across the nation leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of our loyal supporters. Additionally we graced the stages of France and Belgium captivating audiences with our raw talent and infectious energy. Personally I also had the privilege of embarking on thrilling musical endeavors in Italy and Holland.
Our musical journey did not go unnoticed as we received recognition and accolades from various publications and newspapers. The media commended our unique style unrivaled passion and unwavering dedication to our craft.
Today as I reflect upon my journey as an artist I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities I have been granted. From humble beginnings in Mpraeso to international stages I have witnessed the transformative power of music and its ability to transcend boundaries. With each song I strive to connect deeply with my listeners resonating with their emotions and experiences. Embracing the rich cultural heritage of Ghana I infuse my music with a distinct African flavor creating a sound that is truly unique.
