INSPIRED BY PRIDE & PASSION
When BASE Organisation first appeared on the scene in the UK circa late 1979, music and arts of African origin, which boasts a huge range of rich and colourful traditional values and diversity, perhaps more than any other ethnic group on the planet, was only being developed in the UK on a low scale and was on the margins of our society.
BASE Organisation has since continued to make waves in an industry where the longevity of such Black outfits is usually measured by a few years.
BASE Organisation occupies a unique position in the UK in the development and promotion of Black Music & Entertainment activities in the UK. Through its catalytic promotions, development of grass roots artist recording and showcasing of all music of Black Origin, BASE Group paved the way for Black music and entertaining activities to enter the UK mainstream.
Push by push through training seminars, lectures, park festivals, concerts, independence anniversary celebrations, airplay on Capital Radio’s World of Music, BBC and pirate radio stations, BASE Group led the gradual march of Black Music into the UK mainstream.
